There is a Buddhist proverb called “Enough Is a Feast.” In today’s extreme consumerist culture, that sounds like an anachronistic notion. However, happiness has been an elusive entity despite humanity’s staggering “progress” in technology. Sages across the world from Greece to India have suggested self-knowledge and the right behavior as the key to happiness. This class will explore the intersections between Greek Eudaimonia, Indian Yogic sciences, and Buddhist psychology.
