Marc Courtade
The operas of the bel canto composers Rossini, Bellini, and Donizetti feature prominently at the Metropolitan Opera in 2025. A sparkling revival of Il Barbiere di Siviglia closed last season, with new productions of La Sonnambula and I Puritani, as well as a revival of La Fille du Regiment highlighting this season. Our course this fall will examine each of these operas from a historical perspective at the MET up through the current season, showcasing some extraordinary singers, past to present, all of whom continue to enthrall audiences with their consummate artistry.
Join us to be amazed and inspired by listening to some of these outstanding performances with the guidance of our expert instructor, who will make each opera come alive for you. A must if you plan to attend any performance or just want to be inspired!
